Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 18, 2026. This policy explains what information SIE Exam Prep (“we,” “us”) collects when you use sieexamprep.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run a practice-question service (an email address if you create an account, and your practice performance) and we do not sell your personal information.
What we collect
- Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication details through our sign-in provider. You can use the practice questions on public pages without an account.
- Practice performance. For signed-in users, we record quiz activity (which questions you answered, your answers, whether they were correct, and timing) to power your progress tracking and readiness estimates.
- Usage and device information. Like most websites, we receive standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) through server logs and, if enabled, analytics cookies. We use this to keep the site working and understand what content helps.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and this site is not directed at them. Creating an account requires that you are at least 16 years old.
How we use it
- To operate the service: grading questions, saving your progress, and computing readiness estimates from your practice history.
- To improve the question bank: aggregate answer statistics (for example, what percentage of users miss a question) inform our content review. These analyses do not identify you.
- To communicate with you: account-related messages, and (only if you opt in) study emails. Every marketing email includes a working unsubscribe link, honored within 10 business days, and our physical mailing address as required by law.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Service providers
We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run the site: an authentication service (account sign-in), a database service (question bank and practice records), and a hosting/CDN provider. Each processes data only to provide its service to us. If we add payment processing for optional paid features, payment details will be handled by the payment processor and will not touch our servers.
Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for sign-in sessions to work, and we may use analytics cookies to understand site usage. Some browsers send “Do Not Track” signals; like most sites, we currently do not respond to them, but our data practices are the same for all visitors and are limited to what’s described in this policy.
Your choices and rights
- Access or deletion. Email us and we will provide or delete the personal information associated with your account. Deletion requests are honored regardless of where you live.
- Unsubscribe. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link; account-service messages (like a password reset you requested) aren’t marketing and don’t require one.
- Account closure. You can stop using the service at any time; on request we delete your account records rather than merely deactivating them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with an updated effective date. Material changes will be flagged prominently on this page.
