Some links on this site are affiliate links: if you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This page explains exactly where those links appear and how they do (and don’t) influence what we publish. It supplements, and never replaces, the disclosure you’ll see directly on any page that contains affiliate links, placed above the first such link as the FTC’s Endorsement Guides require.

Where affiliate links appear

Affiliate links appear only on our prep-course review and comparison pages: most notably best SIE prep courses and the prep course comparison, where we review third-party courses from providers such as Kaplan, STC, and Achievable. If one of those providers has an affiliate program and you purchase after clicking our link, we may receive a commission. Practice questions, study guides, exam-fact pages, and everything else on this site contain no affiliate links.

What commissions don’t buy

• Rankings. Our course rankings and reviews reflect our editorial judgment: each provider’s genuine strengths, current prices, and the weaknesses their own customers report. A provider paying a higher commission does not rank higher, and a provider paying nothing can still rank first.
• Coverage. We review the significant courses in the market whether or not they pay us.
• Our own content. The 1,000+ questions in our practice bank are free and stay free whether you ever click an affiliate link or not. Commissions help fund the site; they are not a condition of using it.

What we are not

We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by FINRA, and FINRA pays us nothing. SIE®, Securities Industry Essentials®, and FINRA® are registered trademarks of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc. We are also not owned by, or invested in, any prep-course provider we review.
